I'm a Librarian! (Sort of) + Question + Shrek: The Musical @ Plymouth | The MostUnprepared Update

Ahoy!

I just thought I'd tell you lovely, super awesome people that I am now volunteering at my local library for the summer, as they were looking for temporary recruits! I'm not sure if I'll be able to continue after the 'placement' ends, but hey, a step at a time!

Also, shout out to the shrektastic cast and crew at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth. I went to see Shrek the Musical on 12 August and it was spectacular! You had me in tears five minutes in! After Shrek, we went to the world famous Capn' Jaspers for a coffee and hot chocolate, may I recommend it? Well I did!

I told you this would be a pointless post.

Ok, maybe I am.

I have also been wondering what factors are important to people when selecting a book to read, please let me know in the comments. What sparked this was watching Ariel Bissett's video: I Judge Books By Their Covers!
For me, it is:
~ Reccomendations
~ Description
~ Author
~ Reviews
~ Ariel made me realise, that I must say covers do make an impact!

How about you?

    1. Thanks! I started it yesterday and I really loved it! I felt a bit out of place because I've never worked in the library, despite using it for years now. I hope you get to go back to working in the public libraries soon!

    1. Thanks! Yes, I think with books more accessible on Kindle, we've all kind of forgotten to use libraries. However, my library give eBooks on loan, perhaps your library does that?

    1. How terrible your library closed down?! My library was under threat a few years ago and is now run on donations and is staffed by the community and because of this can only be open twice a week! Thank you for the nomination!
