There is Hope (Suzanne Tyler) BOOK REVIEW
Ahoy!
There is Hope arrived a few weeks ago at my doorstop, being the first book I won on Goodreads, I was very excited.
In a Nutshell:
A young girl experiences a traumatic event which follows her around everywhere she goes. As time goes by the Minster gets smaller and she is able to smile again.
The Actual Review
Everyone has a monster. Mine has been following me around for several months.
Tyler knows how bad events feel, she knows it feels like a monster, she knows about the healing process. She has after all been through a traumatic event. I am so glad that there are people out there who do little things like this to help and support others as well as themselves.
The book is aimed at children, but the message stays the same for anyone of any age: it gets better, there is hope. I find the illustrations and colour wise and soothing and representative of how the character is feeling.
The message is powerful and very helpful and definitely gets five stars from me!
In Conclusion:
⚫️ The message is powerful
⚫️ The illustrations are cute
⚫️ It is a appropriate for all ages
Rating:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
