Ahoy!

Ok, I know, I know ANOTHER celebration post! But, I love celebrating things! Today, as it is Hallowe'en I will be recommending some horror books that have truly stuck with me or left me scared.

Short Stories (get ready for a whole lot of Edgar Allan Poe!):

🍬 The Raven - Edgar Allan Poe
My favourite short story of all time, enough said. I think it is at this point I should be thanking my Uncle for introducing me to Edgar Allan Poe.

🍬 The Tell-Tale Heart - Edgar Allan Poe

🍬 The Highway Man - Alfred Noyes

Books:

+ The Graveyard Book - Neil Gaiman

I read this earlier this year and I only gave it four stars.

+ Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

I've just finished this and I absolutely loved it and it is genuinely a new favourite. I wouldn't call it horror but it is certainly creepy af and complete with haunting vintage photographs!

"When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the Moon laughs and whispers 'this Hallowe'en"

  1. I'm not good with scary things but recently I've been branching out and trying to read the types of books I wouldn't usually go for ! I'm definitely going to try The Raven on your recommendation ! I've also been thinking about picking up The Graveyard Book for a while now and I've now decided I'm going to pick it up on the first day back at college !

    Lots of love, Marianne xxx
